The company will also employ more engineering resources and increase its use of technology to help identify extremist videos, in addition to training new content classifiers to quickly identify and remove such content. "While we and others have worked for years to identify and remove content that violates our policies, the uncomfortable truth is that we, as an industry, must acknowledge that more needs to be done. There are already OCCI schemes in France and Germany. Earlier this year, Group of Seven (G7) leaders had urged online giants like Facebook and Google to do more to curb extremist content online. Eidul Fitr to be celebrated in parts of KP, Fata today

Eidul Fitr to be celebrated in parts of KP, Fata today PESHAWAR: Eidul Fitr would be celebrated in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the adjoining Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) today following announcements of the sighting of the Shawwal moon by the private moon-sighting committees at several places. Defying the government and the central Ruet-e-Hilal committee headed by Mufti Munibur Rahman, the privately run Ruet-e-Hilal committees met in Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Bannu, North Waziristan and other places and collected evidences about moon-sighting before making announcements that Eidul Fitr would be celebrated today. All efforts of the government to celebrate Eid on one and the same day all over Pakistan failed. It seems efforts were also made to stop holding of the meeting of private moon-sighting committees, especially of the one based in the Qasim Ali Khan Mosque in Peshawar, but these didn’t work. All these committees held their meetings and sat unt

How a medical exam at a top notch Karachi hospital ended in sexual harassment

How a medical exam at a top notch Karachi hospital ended in sexual harassment Last week, I went to one of the leading hospitals in Karachi to get checked for some pain in my lower back. My mother went with me to the doctor's office, but not into the examination room. It was a tiny room where I was led, about the size of a medium walk-in closet. There were only two people in the room at this point — a female nurse and myself. The nature of my medical concern required me to take my pants off and expose bare skin to the nurse and the doctor. The nurse gave me a gown and prepared the site of examination. Then entered the doctor. He took a look at my back and inquired what the problem was. I told him I was experiencing some pain post-surgery. He proceeded with his examination i.e. applying some pressure on the point of concern, waiting for my response. I let him know where it hurt and where it didn’t, and just when all necessary examination was done, out of  nowhere
