KU staff held TV news team hostage for reporting institute's awful condition
The administration of Karachi University on Friday held hostage the coverage team of a Television News channel for reporting awful condition of institution’s shuttle service.
According to the TV channel, the management barred them from visiting the bus stand and locked them up in the university.
The staffers also threatened him to break camera in case of not destroying the footage.
More than 30 buses are parked at the stand among which only 10 percent are functional. Students are also not allowed to take their own transportation inside the university premises.
The channel revealed that the KU’s Vice Chancellor Dr Qaisar is also not punctual and comes to university for only one hour.
Talking to media, Registrar Dr Moazzam stated that he has issued directives to release the team and assured to launch investigation into the matter.
